What is the relationship between residents?
I can hardly believe how friendly and supportive everyone has been. I’ve been impressed by the communication and coordination among residents both at work and socially. I’ve learned a lot from my co-residents and I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone I’ve met. Getting together socially or even for lectures is a lot of fun since everyone gets along and there’s a real sense of camaraderie.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I play lacrosse whenever possible and enjoy running, biking and canoeing. I also enjoy reading science fiction and horror. I love short stories but have been reading more novels lately – trying to go chronologically through Stephen King’s novels and collections of short stories (he’s actually an incredibly witty, insightful and descriptive writer). I also really enjoy science fiction and suspense/thriller movies (Blue Ruin and Memento are two of my favs). I like horror movies that don’t have jump scares (being startled by a loud noise is not interesting or scary, it’s just annoying), for example I really liked “The VVitch”.

What do you enjoy most about Syracuse/Central NY?
As a big lacrosse fan, being in Central NY is great in terms of opportunities to watch and play lacrosse. There are also lots of great parks and trails in central New York and it’s easy to get to the Adirondacks which are beautiful.
