Why did you choose St. Joseph’s?
I chose St. Joseph’s for the community and for the unified commitment to serve it. With the support from co-residents, faculty, and attendings, you can truly make a significant impact on the lives of your patients. Administration and staff are always available to help. Attendings are always approachable and supportive. And though the time may be brief, it already feels as though we are all family.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Upstate New York offers many wonderful activities. There is an abundance of different seasonal events. I enjoy hiking, visiting state parks, chasing waterfalls, and strolling through different quaint towns along the finger lakes. A few beautiful places to explore, include Green Lakes, Skaneateles, and Watkins Glen. There are also minor league sports teams, including the Syracuse Mets minor league baseball team and Syracuse Crunch minor league ice hockey club. We are also close to other big cities, such as Buffalo, Rochester, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Albany, and New York City.
