What is the relationship between residents and faculty?
I believe that one of the strongest aspects of the St. Joseph’s Family Medicine program is that a high percentage of its current faculty are former graduates of the program. Between them, they cover different generations of graduates which gives them an unique perspective on the struggle a resident confronts in their daily routine around the different areas of the hospital since they have also struggled with some of the same issues themselves. This creates a unique relationship between the faculty/advisors and residents, since they can relate to the challenges we encounter as residents and have a unique perspective on how to better overcome them.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
As a father and a husband, I spend my free time with my family. We enjoy hiking, sightseeing along the finger lakes (especially wine tasting) and outdoor activities with the kids. We also enjoy winter outdoor activities – skiing and sledding.
